On the one year anniversary of their first trip to the Hawaiian Islands together, Jessica and Jesse returned to Oahu to tie the knot and celebrate their love in one unforgettable evening.
With the couple's vision in mind, wedding planner Christina Farrow recommended the private estate of Lanikuhonua, located on Oahu's picturesque west shore, for it's secluded oceanfront setting and intimate cabana, perfect for a sunset dinner for two. One look at the photos of this beautiful location, and they knew it would be the perfect venue for their seaside nuptials.
The beach ceremony was held in the sand, steps away from the ocean's edge.
The Event Design
Jessica and Jesse still wanted the experience of a beautifully designed wedding, regardless of the fact that this was an intimate affair for two. Michelle Maeda of Flowergirls Hawaii set out to create a simply elegant evening filled with gorgeous details that included stunning floral arrangements and a simple but sweet wedding cake set beneath a custom fabric draped cabana.
A five course gourmet dinner, prepared on site by Chef Peter Foster of Memoirs Hawaii, was served by candle light as the couple enjoyed a perfect island sunset and musical stylings of acoustic Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar.
