As a twist on the traditional New Orleans wedding, Amanda Price Events and Theresa Elizabeth Photography combined forces to create something with a little more flair. Inspired by their joint passion for bright colors and the glitz and glam of the disco era, this groovy styled shoot was born.

From Pet Rock favors (a collectible that made its debut in 1975) to the "groovy baby" straws and vinyl escort cards, several elements from the '70s can be found throughout this shoot. To provide depth to the dance floor, mylar balloons in different shapes and sizes were added to the truss system to enhance the experience provided by the lighting and disco balls.

In New Orleans, many historic venues are set in residential areas with strict noise ordinances, causing the party to end early in the evening. What better way to abide by a noise ordinance and continue the party than with a silent disco? And, of course, there can't be a silent disco without some disco balls!
