Kelsey and Sam just wanted a fun, casual wedding in the bride's grandfather's backyard in Ramona, California. They were both coming out of a busy few years, with Sam training for and competing in the Rio Olympics and Kelsey finishing school with time abroad in France. They had just settled down in Seattle and were planning their wedding from afar.
The wedding itself was the perfect marriage of fun and elegance without any fussiness. The estate felt as if you were transported to a villa in Tuscany with lavender fields, wild guinea fowl, an aviary, and a vineyard. The backyard was set up with an authentic taco vendor, margaritas served from a vintage truck by Rasta Rita, and hand-passed popsicles from Viva Pops for dessert.
The newlyweds included several handmade elements in their special day. The live edge farm tables were hand-milled and brought down from Washington by the bride’s father, along with the custom dance floor and cocktail tables. And, the bride hand painted a map of the estate and had them printed on paper fans for the guests to use in the midday heat of the wedding and encourage guests to explore the property.
