Groom's Attire

Inspired by the simple and refined mid-century modern aesthetic portrayed on the award-winning tv series, Mad Men, Catherine Bachelier Smith of CBS Lifestylist and Tam Ashworth of Isari Flower Studio + Event Design brought the 1950s style to life with a unique Chinoiserie twist.

Beginning with the couple's fashion, CBS Lifestylist selected a white tuxedo coat and black bow tie for the dapper groom (who happens to be Kiptyn Locke of The Bachelorette) and a chic tea length dress and blue ribbon hairpiece with a vintage embellishment for the bride. Crisp white linens set a blank canvas for the reception table, topped with blue and white china and bold red glassware. Isari Flower Studio + Event Design's ability to create floral arrangements unique and specific in style is displayed in monochromatic arrangements - white for the bride's bouquet and rich red centerpieces set in blue and white Chinese porcelain vases for the table. Chinese inspired paper elements by Bamboo Star Studios played up the Chinoiserie style, with invitations beautifully set in luxe silk folios, adorned with Asian brass coins. Set at a private estate, the outdoor garden surroundings were brought in with a naturally frosted buttercream cake and fresh strawberries. John Schnack Photography captured every modern detail.
