Few places are more perfect than Hawai'i for a colorful fete celebrating the joining of two families and their different cultures among picturesque views and with fantastic food. For New Yorkers Janet and Ricardo, it was an obvious choice that they exchange vows along Oahu's North Shore at the Loulu Palm Estate.
A vibrant color scheme set the tone for a fun atmosphere, as fuschia and orange adorned every detail, including the ceremony arch, table linens, modern lounge area, and tropical flowers arranged by Flowergirls Hawaii. The details were infused with their Filipino and Columbian cultures and incorporated the Hawaiian heritage they adore, featured in custom signs and vintage fabric in bright tropical hues. The couple and their guests enjoyed an island style feast, which included island favorites such as a whole roasted pig, Hawaiian poke, loco moco’s, fresh island fish, Bubbie’s mochi ice cream and haupia. Spam musubi + malasada served as late night snacks. A s'mores bar added a cozy touch under the stars.
