Your Best Year in Organization

Your Best Year in Organization
October 04, 2016

We’re still trying to wrap our heads around the fact it’s already October (when exactly did that happen?), but we are so excited to dig in deep to this month’s theme of organization. Now, bear with me, because I know organization doesn’t sound super sexy or exciting—but it’s something that makes such a huge difference in our lives as planners.

As a small business owner, mom, and all-around always-busy person, every single second I can shave off of any given task is a huge win. In fact, that’s why I founded Aisle Planner in the first place—I wanted to empower small business owners and planners by creating something that saved them time, stress, and headaches. Aisle Planner, at its very core, is about one thing: organization. Through organization we find extra time, more autonomy, and streamlined processes. Through organization, we find a better client experience, a smoother workflow, more effective communication. Through organization, then, we ultimately find empowerment. How cool is that?

So, I really love today’s quote because it drives home the importance of organization in one single straight-forward (and pretty striking) sentence: For every minute spent organizing, an hour is gained. I could not agree with that statement more. For some of us, organization comes natural (if you consider color-coding your closet a fun Friday night, you fall into that category), but, for others, it’s something we have to work at—and something we often put off.

This month, I challenge you to look at organization not just as a tedious task to brush aside, but rather, as something that can empower us. Focus on the end-game of organization. Think about the fact that those organizing tasks you’re doing on Monday will ultimately be worth their weight in gold on Friday (when you suddenly have three extra hours to spare). Think about everything you can gain from just ten solid minutes of organization. Download today’s wallpaper and allow it to guide you throughout the month of October and motivate you to get organized.

Cheers, Aisle Planners, to an October full of color-coding, file-naming, and post-it placing!
